So the weekend was lovely. Had a nifty BBQ on Monday that has left the house with entirely too much food, 'specially since HorseChaser's gone home.

The only thing is that mosquitos love me, and as much fun as I had Monday, the ensueing 40+ mosquito bites that have left me looking like I have the chicken poxs aren't much fun. I've always been sweet meat for the suckers, but this is rediculous. I even had bug spray on for part of the evening.

So a question to the masses - Do you have a tried and true remedy for bites to stop itching? (because sitting here at my desk, it's driving me nuts!)
Also, short of swimming in a vat of DEET, any recommendations for ways to make me less appealing to the local biting insect population?

so... very... itchy...

For folks who went to Panteria, here's some pics that floated past the SCA Equestrian group...

Someone's looking mighty spiffy in that last picture there....

(ganked from the SCA scribes list.)

My lord, I'm not worthy of working with such materials...

*EDIT*
Ok, so it's not so much that I'm not worthy of working on such stuff, but then I'd want the perfectly period pen, and the perfectly period ink, etc, etc, and I'd eventually work myself into complete immobility out of fear of making a mistake on such a lovely surface...
Don't laugh, but I fear cutting fine material for the same reasons... It's why all my garb is made out of wicked cheap cotton.. (well, that and it doesn't melt over forges or ovens...) - k.
